1、 Bad habits of car owners: bad habits of using cars and improper maintenance of cars.
1. Bad car use habits: including frequent short distance driving, the engine does not reach sufficient operating temperature. In the low temperature or short distance operation, the water and fuel in the crankcase are not completely evaporated, thus forming emulsification, resulting in the generation of sludge. The engine starts and stops frequently and idles for a long time, which is easy to happen in traffic jam. When the engine overheats, the oil under high temperature will accelerate the oxidation.
2. Improper car maintenance: the engine oil is not replaced after expiration. Due to the deterioration of the engine oil, oxidation insoluble substances are formed at high temperature, forming oil sludge. The use of engine oil is improper. The engine oil should be kept clean and dry without any impurities and moisture. When changing the engine oil, the old oil should be drained. If the maintenance is not carried out according to the requirements, the three filters should be replaced regularly to maintain a good internal environment of the engine. Do not use inferior air filter, which will lead to poor air filtration effect. Impurities in the air enter the engine oil, which will pollute the engine oil and accelerate the oil oxidation. Antifreeze cooling water into the engine, will cause oil thickening, oxidation, acid production.
2、 Poor oil quality
The quality of engine oil also has advantages and disadvantages. High quality engine oil has better base oil and detergent dispersant, better oxidation resistance and thermal stability, can better avoid the formation of oil sludge, and help to remove internal impurities. For vehicles with poor road conditions, frequent traffic jams and heavy loads, it is recommended to use high-quality engine oil.
3、 PCV valve failure
The crankcase ventilation valve of the engine is responsible for balancing the pressure of the crankcase when the engine is running at high speed. When the crankcase ventilation valve breaks down or is blocked, the water vapor or other harmful pollutants in the crankcase can not be discharged in time. After chemical reaction, the sludge will be produced, and a vicious cycle will be generated, and the sludge will become more and more serious.
4、 Use inferior fuel
Poor quality fuel may contain some gum and high sulfur content, which will bring acid substances to the engine oil during combustion, which will cause oxidation and deterioration of the engine oil. Excessive fuel entering the engine oil may also form asphaltene by-products with the engine oil.
